Amelia First Photo Shoot

I have to say, Amelia is one seriously seriously cute baby. She is just gorgeous and I could bite chunks out of her. To go with her ridiculous cuteness she was so well behaved, an easy hour photo shoot and not one murmur. Just slept the whole time, only just two weeks old when I photographed her. (perfect model.) I’m sure Sian & James are extremely proud of there little girl. It feels like so long ago that Nancy was that small.

What a crazy wedding day, weather wise. It was forecast for showers but this was torrential, but with in the space of 5 minutes it was sunny again. It was like this all day for Vicky & Martin’s Wedding at the Ramside Hall. With only small windows of opportunity for photos outside it was a mad rush to grab what we could before it started again! At one point we were all headed back in as the thunder roared.

Vicky & Martin were a great couple to spend the day with capturing all their special moments. As well as all the details of dressing the room up, which looked fantastic. Certainly a lot of blood and sweat went into it.

There were loads of great moments of Vicky & Martin’s wedding day but one of the key moments that stood out for me was the best men’s speeches, at the expense of the groom who really took a grilling.

The day was capped off with a stunning night shot showing off the Bride & Groom as well as the Ramside Hall’s stunning scenery.

For my first trip photographing a wedding at Washington Old Hall, I was desperate for some great weather. Washington Old Hall has some stunning gardens, which is ideal for wedding photographs in Newcastle. My sister in law got married here a few years ago but it rained heavy all day so were unable to capitalize on these gorgeous grounds. The forecast was for bad weather on Rebecca & Keith’s wedding day, we were hugely lucky that the rain held off literally till they got into their wedding car.

Bless them! As I literally had them running around Washington Old Hall’s gardens grabbing some amazing shots as it was thundering above our heads (No exaggeration) The weather gods certainly stayed onside!

Rebecca & Keith were a fantastic couple to photograph, like everyone a little shy at first but once I relaxed them on there Pre Wedding Shoot in Jesmond Dene they were perfect. As a bonus realizing that they live in the next street from me, so no excuses for being late haha.

James their son also looked super smart in his custom made suit to look like his dads.

It seems like so long ago when I first met up with Christina & Shaun in Newcastle to chat about their wedding plans. We instantly hit it off it’s hard not to with Christina’s bubbly personality. They told me all about their plans for there Langley Castle Wedding.

We then met up the second time for their pre wedding photography in Jesmond Dene. I knew instantly they had great chemistry and I wasn’t wrong when I got home and uploaded the pre wedding photography, they were simply awesome. This had me looking forward to their wedding at Langley Castle.

On the day of the wedding I pulled up at Langley Castle and as it was my first visit photographing Langley castle, its beauty took me back. Langley Castle is a gorgeous wedding venue.

Christina looked stunning in her wedding dress and her make up (by Melanie Hedley) looked beautiful also. Shaun didn’t scrub up bad either. For their photos though they looked sensational together and we created some amazing memories that I’m sure will be cherished.

It’s a gorgeous drive up to Woodhill Hall, with some stunning views of Northumberland. I headed up there today for the wedding of Tina & Neil.

I First met Tina & Neil in Hexham they were up here visiting family and checking out their venue for the big day. Tina & Neil are both originally from Newcastle but now live in gorgeous Buckinghamshire.

There was so many friends and Family making the huge journey to share in Tina & Neil’s big day, or to see Neil in his RAF uniform.

Neil had some of his RAF buddies perform the guard of honour, which was awesome to see and I even got goose pimples my self. I loved all the detail of the RAF attire, the like of the swords, medals and gloves to handle the swords.

Tina & Neil were an amazing couple to photograph their Newcastle Wedding.

Jesmond Dene is becoming a second home to me this summer (Or wishful thinking, an extension to my back garden 😉

It’s certainly been a popular destination for pre wedding photography and it’s no wonder Rebecca & Keith chose it also. Jesmond Dene is bursting with lovely little places to capture some awesome shots and to experiment with the creative ones.

Keith was straight off night shift, but they were still both great to photograph in their pre wedding shoot.

They tie the know soon at the awesome Washington Old Hall wedding, a place I haven’t photographed a wedding at yet so looking forward to their big day.

Bede’s World: what an unusual and cool place to have a wedding. Bede’s World is a museum with an Aztec village on the grounds. You can imagine how excited I was when Hayley & Gary told me about their plans. The only problem been was that the church doesn’t let photographers in to photograph the wedding.

It was a scorcher of a day with not a cloud in the sky. Both Hayley and Gary looked amazing and the grounds of Bede’s World were in full bloom. We even took the entire party down to the auditorium for a huge group shot. Which was worth all the agro from the guests about the walk, but it was the bride’s big day.

To end the reception, before the evening guests arrived Hayley & Gary arranged for a singer to perform which was a relaxing treat.

It’s always a pleasure returning to Dissington Hall to photograph a wedding, even better when a gorgeous couple accompanies you. Rachel & Liam are that couple! They were magic together and was a treat to photograph them on their wedding day.

The sun certainly had his hat on and Rachel & Liam’s friends and family took advantage of the fine weather by chilling in the grounds of Dissington Hall.

The bride looked sensational, I suppose it helps been a beauty therapist 😉 What I loved most though was her hair and hair peace, it was so different and unusual but so beautiful.

Linden Hall was the venue for Jade & Scott’s wedding, after their disappointment of the closure of Longhirst hall.

I’m certain that had no impact of how perfect their Linden Hall wedding was. It was a gorgeous day and Jade was up extremely early setting up the room. Which looked sensational. Not to mention the opportunity to set up her own event styling business, after buying all the stuff.

Linden Hall has some stunning grounds for photographs and Jade & Scott were an amazing couple to photograph.

Jesmond Dene was the location of choice for Christina & Shaun’s Pre wedding shoot in Newcastle, and my third time to Jesmond Dene in a week. Christina & Shaun were magic together and made it so easy to photograph them. They are getting married at Langley Castle soon and after today’s pre wedding shoot I can’t wait. It sounds like it’s going to be a real special day, and after today’s pre wedding shoot in Jesmond Dene I have no worries about the chemistry between the two.

Photographing in Jesmond Dene last night again for Jade and Scott’s pre wedding shoot. Every time I photograph in Jesmond dene I come away with different pictures. It’s such a great place to have a pre wedding shoot with so many lovely spots. Jade & Scott were also excellent an were very eager to get a shot that was different and still feel romantic. Jade also told me she loves black and white photos which I also love so made sure there was plenty on this pre wedding shoot.

It was great fun taking todays couple Rachel & Liam, into the amusements for there pre wedding shoot. It was a great night for a pre wedding shoot with loads of clouds in the sky to add extra detail in the photos. Rachel & Liam were a pleasure to work with and when I asked them if we could have a look through the fun fair in South Shields. They went on to tell me that they used to love playing 2p machines. This was music to my ears and I knew straight away I would be able to get some cool and funky photographs in the amusements.

After photographing them for there pre wedding shoot I cant wait to capture there big day at Dissington Hall, One of my favourite wedding venues.

A fantastic vintage styled wedding at Seaton Holme. Naomi along with her friends and family certainly worked hard to make the place look perfect, and perfect it certainly looked!
With croquet and other games on the lawn, homemade pims and a whole lot of bunting!

Naomi & Dave were fantastic and great to photograph. With their day been so fun and relaxed it made it easy to capture natural shots of their guests enjoying the day.

For today’s pre wedding shoot I headed down to Crimdon Beach, which is a lovely beach, tucked away before you get to Hartlepool.

The weather was misty and dull and you could see there could be a heavy down pour at any minute. Luckily for Naomi & Dave and the dogs it didn’t rain and the mist just added to a better backdrop.

Naomi & Dave were a great couple to photograph; they didn’t at all seem fazed by the pre wedding shoot. This helped to create some gorgeous shots.

After this awesome pre wedding shoot I cant wait to capture there wedding day.

What a fantastic wedding to be a part of!

Sarah and Tom were an amazing couple, with their super cute son William who looked very dapper in his suit! He certainly made it easy to get some awesome shots!
It feels like just yesterday that I met them and shot their pre wedding shoot and a photo shoot of there wood floor show room!
The day ran nice and smooth. Starting with bridal prep at the Blackwell Grange hotel, followed by a lovely ceremony at All Saints Church in Hurworth Village. Following on with an intimate reception at The Bay Horse just over the road and then finishing the night at The Grange Bar in Darlington Centre. We had a downpour of rain but that certainly didn’t dampen the day one bit!
I’m looking forward to editing the rest of the photos!

What a gorgeous wedding, Gorgeous venue and most importantly a gorgeous bride.

Sandy & Ian’s Wedding was the very definition of elegant. Set at the outstanding Lumley Castle in Chester-Le-Street. From start to finish the day ran so smoothly, the wind could have been a bit kinder for the family shots but it didn’t put a dent in the day. Sandy looked sensational with a little help from her beautiful dress and make up artist. Her niece Robyn was with her overnight, helping to settle her nerves.

It was my first visit to Lumley Castle and I was really impressed. I got some sensational photographs in some of the old corridors, the main staircase and out front of the castle. Its certainly a venue that is bursting with character.

You may remember Alex & Lee from there Pre Wedding shoot at Finchale Priory or maybe it was that you seen them on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. Hats off to the bridesmaids for keeping that one quite.

Alex & Lee’s wedding was a beautiful day set in the stunning Saltwell Park in the gorgeous Saltwell Towers. It was my first time photographing at Saltwell Towers and what a pleasure it was. For pictures, the surroundings are out of this world and we were spoilt for choice. Topped off by a church service at the Holy Trinity Church in Usworth.

As for the bride and groom, Alex looked sensational and Lee didn’t look too bad either (coming from a man.) They were the perfect couple to work with. Very happy to walk around a busy park to create some stunning wedding photographs. Not forgetting there two wonderful kids Katie & Leighton.

To top my day off I was stand in grandma and was lucky enough to sit at the top table for a lovely three-course meal. It was very unfortunate on the day that Lee’s Grandma was unable to attend the wedding.
